D9 is putting on it's 2nd Annual Hot Cocoa Run to raise money for education in the community! Come on down on November 14th and run in our 5K Road, 10K Hybrid Trail-Road, or even Kiddie K for the best time you'll have this fall and help raise money for education! This year the D9 Ooltewah Harrison Education Foundation is especially excited about partnering with the Harrison Bay State park to host this event. More exciting is that we are introducing the new distance of the 10K for the experience of 4.5 miles of trail and 1.7 miles of road running through one of the most pristine and scenic state parks in our area.
With regards to the trail run, it is a "carry in carry out" trail run, Participants are responsible for providing all fluids and necessities while on the trail, including picking up their own litter. There will be EMT support as well as water stations throughout the road portion of the race for all distances. Last water stop for the trail will be 1/4 mile prior to trailhead entry and exit.
All registrants will get a T-shirt, medal and hot cocoa.
